What this product does
Project Insight connects to your Instagram Creator or Business account (with your permission) so we can help you analyse your own posts and comments and answer questions about them.
Data we process
Depending on what you connect and ask:
- Account identifiers and profile basics from Instagram (for example username and account id)
- Your media metadata (captions, timestamps, and public counts Instagram provides)
- Comments on your posts returned by Instagram's API
- Messages you submit in chat, and the answers we generate
- Technical logs required to operate the service (for example IP address and browser basics)
We do not sell your personal data. We do not sell your Instagram content to advertisers.
Why we process it
- To deliver the service you request
- To maintain security and reliability (legitimate interests)
- To meet legal obligations when they apply
Who we share with
- Meta / Instagram — when you connect, subject to their terms and the permissions you approve
- Infrastructure providers that host the application (under contracts that protect your data)
- Others only at your direction, or where the law requires disclosure
How long we keep it
We retain connected Instagram data and chat history while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after you disconnect or delete your account, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion (see below).

- Disconnect Instagram within the product when that control is available
- Email hello@askinsight.app to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to raise a question
If you are in the UK or EEA, you may also have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR (including access, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability) and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (the ICO in the UK).
Children
Project Insight is not directed at children under 16, or the higher digital-consent age required where you live.
